Dick Cheney eats babies & it's ok to slander Rush

Only a couple of weeks ago Rush Limbaugh was slandered to prevent his ownership of the St. Louis Rams. Even after the facts regarding the reports of false statements and allegations were clarified, the media was reluctant to apologize and correct their errors.

There were no sound bites to confirm the wild comments of racism and prejudice. But like Dan Rather and the Bush memos, they want it to be true.

Meanwhile liberal talking head Mike Malloy blasted former VP Dick Cheney:

Mike Malloy:

"Cheney, by the way looks very ruddy; I couldn't get over that like he must have feasted on a Jewish baby, or a Muslim baby; he must have sent his people out to get one and bring it back so he could drink its blood, because that's what somebody like Cheney does to get that ruddy look.

It was scary to see. This was not makeup; and the weird part is there were no dribbles of blood down his tux. But it was very clear that he had been eating the blood of a Jewish or a Muslim baby. He wouldn't eat a Christian baby. If he ate the blood of a Christian baby, there's something in the old writings that said that instantly the trap door to Hell opens and you disappear into the smoke, so it's got to be a Muslim or a Jewish baby; and you drink the blood and you're healthy again if you're somebody like Dick Cheney.

I'm thinking, oh my God, he just won't away! There's no way to stop him, and now his spawn, his daughter, is picking up the cudgel, so to speak; and now they have this new organization, something to do with more right-wing warmongering, death and destruction. How do you stop Dick Cheney?"

My emphasis was added. I found the clip here.

Wow.

I'm no fan of Cheney, in fact, you can form a line behind me because I'd lead the way with complaints and criticisms. However, I've heard endless Obama supporters railing about "disrespect" and "respecting the office" yet this hasn't gotten a peep.

When I heard about the Malloy comments, I immediately found the transcript, but I thought this can't be true. It didn't take long to find the audio clip, so why didn't CNN, MSNBC and others do the same with Limbaugh.

There's also a clip of Malloy wishing Glenn Beck would commit suicide: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2009/08/06/liberal-talker-mike-malloy-hopes-glenn-beck-commits-suicide

I don't know much about Malloy, but his words speak for themselves. I don't care for Limbaugh because it's the same old rhetoric.

What is crystal clear is this amazing bias and polarization in society and our newsrooms. There are good guys and bad guys. The left wing loses credibility by the day by ignoring this fact and not answering for it.

Who's Your Boss by Edgar A. Guest

Who's Your Boss - Edgar A. Guest

"I work for someone else," he said;
"I have no chance to get ahead.
At night I leave the job behind;
At morn I face the same old grind.
And everything I do by day
Just brings to me the same old pay.
While I am here I cannot see
The semblance of a chance for me."

I asked another how he viewed
The occupation he pursued.
"It's dull and dreary toil," said he,
"And brings but small reward to me.
My boss gets all the profits fine
That I believe are rightly mine.
My life's monotonously grim
Because I'm forced to work for him."

I stopped a third young man to ask
His attitude towards his task.
A cheerful smile lit up his face;
"I shan't be always in this place,"
He said, "because some distant day
A better job will come my way.
"Your boss?" I asked, and answered he:
"I'm going to make him notice me.

"He pays me wages and in turn
That money I am here to earn,
But I don't work for him alone;
Allegiance to myself I own.
I do not do my best because
It gets me favors or applause--
I work for him, but I can see
That actually I work for me.

"It looks like business good to me
The best clerk on the staff to be.
If customers approve my style
And like my manner and my smile
I help the firm to get the pelf,
But what is more I help myself.
From one big thought I'm never free:
That every day I work for me."

Oh, youth, thought I, you're bound to climb
The ladder of success in time.
Too many self-impose the cross
Of daily working for a boss,
Forgetting that in failing him
It is their own stars that they dim.
And when real service they refuse
They are the ones who really lose.

From a great little book called "Just Folks" written in 1917. I often forget his amazing works -- very inspirational. The picture of Guest is from Wikipedia.

Thomas Sowell: America Dismantled?

His title is "Dismantling America" which you can read here as Dr. Sowell delivers yet again.

This time is examines Obama's America where a czar, excluded from any Congressional scrutiny, cuts the salaries of Americans.

This new America is a place where religion doesn't have a place in the classrooms, but singing songs of the new President are widely accepted.

Sowell echoes my concerns about the transformation of America by this administration citing his history of radicals.

Dr. Sowell sums up this presidency better than I can:

"Nothing so epitomizes President Obama's own contempt for American values and traditions like trying to ram two bills through Congress in his first year — each bill more than a thousand pages long — too fast for either of them to be read, much less discussed. That he succeeded only the first time says that some people are starting to wake up. Whether enough people will wake up in time to keep America from being dismantled, piece by piece, is another question — and the biggest question for this generation."

Sex for Tickets, iPOD app ALL further the Degradation of Women

Susan Finkelstein, the woman arrested for soliciting World Series tickets for sex, is now denying the allegations. The devout Phillie fan originally posted on Craigslist that price was negotiable and that "I'm the creative type! Maybe we can help each other!" Read the complete story here and follow the links that reveal she "offered sex acts" to the undercover officer who responded to the ad.

Meanwhile this revealed the Apple iPOD app promoted by Pepsi to promote their energy drink. From the article: "...help men pick up any one of 24 types of women, such as the "sorority girl," "cougar," "rebound girl" or "punk rock girl." Users can choose the type of woman they have their eye on, then get coached on facts that might be useful, such as computing a carbon footprint to impress "the tree hugger." (see the pic I posted above & thanks to Rick for passing this along to me)

I noted that there were no comments from NOW or other feminists outraged over the depiction of women or the damage by Finkelstein to credible women.

Trafficking of women and girls for forced labor and sexual exploitation is a serious global problem and this doesn't help. The movie "Taken" deals with the horrible problem as Liam Neesom's daughters is abducted, drugged, and sold into an international prostitution ring.

This column is from 2006 and sites 2-4 MILLION are trafficked every year. That figures is from 2006.

So we have all witnessed the glorification of Paris Hilton, Pam Anderson, Kim Kardashian being idolized as role models as they also promote their own sex tapes.

Fighting one portion of the exploitation of women that leads to degradation and often, abuse, still leaves us with a mammoth problem. Until we unilaterally so no to ALL aspects of this behavior will we see improvement.

Medicare WORST at denying claims!

This AMA data1 was released awhile ago and I haven't made time to comment or present some of the interesting findings. I understand many commentators (such as Glenn Beck) have mentioned it.

We've heard over and OVER and OVER again about those evil insurance companies and the liberals cry about empathy needed or that health care coverage is actually a RIGHT.

So the AMA data show the claims, denials and % of denials -- would it surprise you that Medicare rejects more claims than their private insurance counterparts?

From the report:

Description: What percentage of records submitted are denied by the payer for reasons other than a claim edit?

A denial is defined as: allowed amount equal to the billed charge and the payment equals $0.

Payer / Count of records / Denied records / % of claim lines denied
Aetna 637,239 / 43,317 / 6.80%
Anthem 250,070 / 11,546 / 4.62%
CIGNA 263,728 / 9,060 / 3.44%
Coventry 20,487 / 590 / 2.88%
Health Net 4,975 / 193 / 3.88%
Humana 143,026 / 4,142 / 2.90%
Medicare 6,938,431 / 475,566 / 6.85%
UHC 1,127,691 / 30,177 / 2.68%

Date Range: 03/01/2007 – 3/10/2008

Page 11 of the AMA report explains some of the denials and 20% of the Medicare Rejections are simply designated as "NOT MEDICALLY NECESSARY"

So the government, just like private insurance is already engaged in an intense analysis for cost control and evaluating what your doctor believes is needed. Most of the rejections from the private payers come before the claim process (e.g. pre-existing conditions) and those payers have contracts, fee schedules and payment arrangements with the physicians, hospitals, laboratories etc...

Medicare gets a pass for being the biggest culprit on denying coverages.

This is in large part why so many seniors have enrolled in secondary insurances like AARP's Medigap or Medicare Advantage. They are designed to pick up the tab for the NON-COVERED services and prescriptions that MEDICARE DOES NOT COVER.

Is the health care reform going to fix this?

The answer is a resounding NO!

More government intervention, another government run "public option" will be crippled by the same problems, cost control measures etc...

The health care reform bills cut Medicare coverages further, targeting Medicare Advantage directly and will reduce choices for seniors.

The Pondering Prez & Illegal Drones?

I guarantee we will not hear or read much about the recent UN attack on America's unmanned drone attacks on terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan. In the BBC report UN human rights investigator says America needs to "explain the legal basis" for these attacks.

For the article: Mr Alston, the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial Executions, told the BBC: "My concern is that these drones, these Predators, are being operated in a framework which may well violate international humanitarian law and international human rights law. The onus is really on the government of the United States to reveal more about the ways in which it makes sure that arbitrary executions, extrajudicial executions, are not in fact being carried out through the use of these weapons."

Sounds like language that was thrust at President Bush, so where's the coverage here in the States?

Nowhere and don't expect it.

The Obama administration has the press under control and the "War on FOX" had an amazing effect to CNN, MSNBC and others: don't throw mud on the White House or you won't get the interviews.

So while the President continues his month long pondering over additional troop support for his General in Afghanistan, a car bomb in Pakistan killed 90. Hillary Clinton's visit was marred by the blast and it was reported that her response was:

"I want you to know that this fight is not Pakistan's alone. So this is our struggle as well and we commend the Pakistani military for their courageous fight and we commit to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistani people in your fight for peace and security."

The UN that is critical of the US tactics garnered 6 casualties (and 9 injured)in Kabul as rockets attacked the hotel used as a UN safe house. Some eyewitness testimony was picked up by the BBC as Afghanistan is facing the most violent month to date.

Yes, October is the MOST VIOLENT MONTH since the war began in 2001 -- 55 US Troop deaths this month.

From the ABC News report:

"Meanwhile, the President continues to consult with his advisers and military leaders in reaching a decision on his Afghanistan policy. The President plans to meet with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen on Friday, as he approaches making a final judgment."

Our President "continues to consult", "contemplates", "coming closer to making a decision", "evaluate this process" on and on and on....

Secretary of State said we stand shoulder to shoulder to fight and UN says we are breaking International Law.

Quagmire?

It was easier to declare Swine Flu a national emergency than fight a war to win.

When I was young, probably too young for this analogy, my grandfather was waiting for me to get dressed to go sledding in the snow. I was bundled in layers and layers of clothes, struggling to snap the buttons on my giant parka.

"Are you going to piss or get off the pot?" he yelped from the front seat of the family station wagon.

Well Mr. President, you can keep adding layers of protection from advisers and the press, but at the end of all of this you need piss or get off of the pot.

Why Conservatives rave about Gallup Poll, but shouldn't!

The recent Gallup Poll is and will be promoted, over analyzed and overtly praised as a comeback for conservatism.

Sorry, but all polls are biased, mediocre data at best unless the sample size is over 3,000 -- my not so humble opinion.

What Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity will blabber about is that conservatives outnumber liberals 2 to 1.

But will they appropriately note that 36% polled describe themselves as Independent.

Here's the lowdown:

Republicans can't be trusted to be conservative.

Yes, the Democrats have been highjacked by socialists and they are engaging in a transformation of America. The "George Soros Democrats" control Congress, the White House and they are mortgaging our future faster than they are printing money.

So as we look ahead to 2010, what do we really see?

I see the same risks and problems.

Many Democrats need to be purged but are invulnerable in extremely liberal Districts (e.g. Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank) The alternative to incumbant Democrats, are the clones of Republicans, who were (and/or) also part of this mess.

Under President Bush, the Republicans ran up spending, didn't properly regulate Fannie & Freddie, implemented their own "Stimulus Bills" and allowed the Federal government to overstep their constitutional power as well. (Yes I'm omitting several things)

When you analyze the Gallup Poll results you can see that liberals are up since in 1992 and conservatives are down. Conservatives are too synonymously linked to Republicans while Democrats are split on describing themselves as moderates and liberals.

One thing that is revealing in the Gallup data is that we become LESS LIBERAL with age, not necessarily MORE CONSERVATIVE.

18 to 29 year-olds stand at 31% liberal, 30% conservative and 39% moderate. By the time we are in the "65 and older" crowd, the figures shift to 48% conservative, 35% moderate and ONLY 16% liberal.

In all 50 states, including California and New York, most Americans describe themselves as Conservative. I was shocked by this data.

So we must realize why the GOP was dislodged and is still struggling to find an identity. While the Obama, Pelosi, Reid et. al pulls us to the far FAR left, we drift further and further right. Meanwhile, those claiming to be on the right disregard their "conservatism" and behave like those on the left.

The media and the White House can dismiss Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Tea Parties, Ron Paul supporters etc...but at the end of the day we are looking for honest leaders to represent us -- and we are increasingly conservative.

Those of us expressing our dissent don't care about the parties but the end result. I don't care about politicians that call themselves conservative or liberal. I care about how they vote and lead.

I'm 100% sure of that.

Public Option Back - Surprised? You Shouldn't Be.

The latest report from the Senate is that Harry Reid will ensure the public option is added to the current healthcare bill.

In the ABC headline, it reads "Back from the Dead" -- remember, as I've been stating, IT WAS NEVER DEAD, IT'S THE GOAL!

We know the House fulling supports the government takeover and several members of Congress has admitted to their support of the public option. Combine the cheap government plan with the hostile taxes and penalties imposed on the insurance companies and the government takeover will be inevitable.

Reid: "As soon as we get the bill back from CBO, and people have a chance to look at it -- which we'll have ample time to do that -- I believe we clearly will have the support of my caucus to move to this bill and start legislating."

You will hear much about the "public option" and "triggers", possibly "co-ops" -- it is ALL, I repeat, ALL designed to allow a government plan to be implemented and ultimately the default for all of us when the current carriers go bankrupt or our employers discontinue health coverages.

Stay strong, the battle is still looming. Call and write your reps and Senators.

Arm the Bobbies!

North London has become a haven for gangs and gang violence. London's police department has now instituted a major change in UK Law Enforcement - gun toting bobbies patroling the crime infrested area.

Chief Inspector Neil Sharman said the units began in June to tackle the rising gun crime. The initial 20 officers will double in size to seek out criminals carrying or storing guns rather than wait for the incidents to occur.

Terrorism and crime has blossomed in the UK and even London can't look the other way forever. The utopian view on gun control is truly on full display as gun bans have resulted in only the bad guys having the weapon.

The BBC reported that handgun related crimes increased 40% two years after the weapons ban. That was in 2001!

Dan Rather had to concede to how bad the violence in the UK had gotten - this was in 2002 (Read here.) There is a long track record of increased violence and problems for the UK citizens and their inablility to protect themselves.

Some much of this is the "Rosie O'Donnell ignorance" in which she even stated that the gun ownership is NOT A RIGHT. Rosie had a famous banter with Tom Selleck:

The lack of personal responsibility and the support for eliminating personal accountability by gun opponents is astounding.

Did they blame the teen who killed another Chicago teen with a board? The story here describes the horrible event. Are we to allow boards because they are too dangerous?

We can go back to Australia's ban in 2000 (read here) to see the pattern of increased violence that follows these gun bans.

Will America follow suit?

The second amendment was put in the constitution to protect against the government NOT for JUST hunting. While the government's power runs amuck, we must be viligent to fight for ALL OF OUR RIGHTS and learn from the errors of the world.

"Me" by Sierra Jones

I am short, like a tree trying to grow but is lost in the shadows.

I am skinny, like a small toothpick that easily breaks in half.

I am intrepid, like a deer going into a lion’s territory.

I am caring, like a stray mother cat who gives all her food to her kittens.

My blue eyes are like the ocean washing back and forth with the wind.

My brown hair is like moss hanging from the top of a short tree.

My freckles are like drops of mud plopping drop by drop out of a faucet all over my face.

Faith Board Member tied to SEIU

When I began to review the list of the Board Members added to the department run by Joshua DuBois, the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, I didn't get very far.

From the article providing a list the first name was Diane Baillargeon, President and CEO of SeedCo (in the center of the picture).

In my first, my very FIRST search, I find a connection between her work at SeedCo and SEIU.

From this article in 2008:

"Seedco’s outstanding reputation makes it an ideal organization to undertake this very worthwhile and important initiative," said Mr. Knuckles. "The Upper Manhattan Health Careers Initiative complements another health care employment and training partnership we announced almost exactly a year ago with the 1199 SEIU Training and Employment Funds to connect 118 Upper Manhattan residents to employment and career advancement opportunities in the health care industry. In both instances, our overall goal is to create opportunities for empowerment zone residents with skills deficits to obtain the highly valued training that is needed to qualify for employment and career advancement opportunities, while simultaneously providing employers with a pool of skilled and qualified labor."1

SEIU.

Not just any office of SEIU, 1199 where Patrick Gaspard is from. My prior blog is here.

So, even in the Faith-Based & Community Initiative Office we find connections to the same groups... SEIU in this case. (which is connected to ACORN)

I'm not shocked or surprised, just frustrated.

Richard Henne & Family are Disturbed

The era of Reality Shows has produced some horrible exploitation of human behavior and the recent balloon boy incident is just another chapter.

After a stint on "Wife Swap", the Henne's were addicted to the spotlight and then Richard Henne concocted his inflatable muffin publicity stunt.

Now Henne's effort to further exploit his children has magnified this video which has boys dropping profane language and one covered in feces -- nothing like family Hip Hop bonding time making a video called "Not Pussified"

This verifies that the Henne family is disturbed and the children may be need to be sheltered from their insane parents.

It's come to light now that Richard Henne called a TV station before calling 911. Since the media still blew into a frenzy, even though the station contacted the sheriff before dispatching coverage, Henne still receive the hype he was seeking.

Henne claims his family doesn't have cable and isn't aware of the allegations that this was a hoax. Doesn't have cable? How do you find out, apply and appear on a reality show; post that awful video on Youtube and contact the TV station prior to the police and HONESTLY expect us to believe you DON'T have cable?

This is a link that covers the balloon being held as evidence and their bizarre history dating back to 2006 or so: http://www.cleveland.com/nation/index.ssf/2009/10/father_of_balloon_boy_falcon_h.html

Reality shows are the bane of modern television and this is just another chapter in the bizarre nature of exploiting fellow humans for 15 minutes of shame.

"Bible is book of bad morals" & the profitable attack on Christians

Jose Saramago, 1998 winner of the Nobel Prize in literature, slammed the Bible, describing it as a "manual of bad morals" and the people of the world would be better without it.

Saramago attacked "a cruel, jealous and unbearable God (who) exists only in our heads" and said he did not think his book would cause problems for the Catholic Church "because Catholics do not read the Bible.

He's been a member of the Portuguese Communist Party since 1969 and wrote "The Gospel According to Jesus Christ" in which Saramago represents Christ as severely fallible, God is extremely selfish and Christ, living with Mary Magdalene, considers backing out of the crucifixion.

This work is very similar to Nikos Kazantzakis's work "The Last Temptation of Christ" in both theme and tone.

From one of the press releases: Saramago's new work of fiction, "Cain," takes a critical and sometimes lighthearted look at the life of Adam and Eve's son. Saramago said at the book's launch late Sunday that the Bible is "a catalog of cruelty and of what's worst in human nature."

Saramago continued to say that this work won't offend the Catholics because they don't read the Bible.

"It might offend Jews, but that doesn't really matter to me."

Why even discuss the opinions of a pessimistic atheist?

Well, it's one thing to attack Christians, it's entirely another to make a profit doing it. This is a Nobel Prize winner whose career is founded on railing against Christianity.

Christian leaders have been stereotyped as hypocrites and corrupted money hungry con artists. It seems to me that attacking Christians has become nearly as profitable and Saramago is a proof of this.

From the best seller list: American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America, The God Delusion, Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism, Losing Moses on the Freeway and Letters to a Christian Nation

These novels portray Christians as "murderously intolerant", "yearning for apocalyptic violence" and "fevered by religious radicalism."

Eminent historians like Gary Wills are now describing members of the Christian faith as radicals who have more in common with al Qaeda terrorists than our European allies.

In the Wills 2004 NY Times article: "Where else do we find fundamentalist zeal, a rage at secularity, religious intolerance, fear of and hatred for modernity?"

The fight to end slavery, the protests against child labor, the early literacy campaigns, the army of anti-poverty groups, the Civil Rights movement – all owe their lifeblood to a Christian conviction.

Meanwhile, recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan were targeting women at the University to protest women's right to an education.

Yes there are fundamental Christians, but the Islamic extremists, willing to kill other Muslims, is far more common and much more dangerous.

Saramago's comments are just a recent example of the secular society that will support attacks on Christianity, instigate attack against Christian practices, try to tear down their credibility and condescend Christianity for profit.

It's pretty sad when the religious practices we have to fight most to protect are those at the root of our history.

It's pretty sad when Christians are called hypocrites because of their shortcomings by socialists who will use this tactic to make a buck - only in America.

Healthcare Redux

So after taking some time away from the Great Healthcare Battle, we find ourselves in deeper trouble than we ever imagined. Roland Burris, shunned by many after the Rod Blagojevich nomination (and scandal) to replace President Obama's vacant Senate seat, has joined Dennis Kucinich in his clear support for a public option. Kucinich has been HONEST in describing the goal of a one payer system, a complete overhauled government controlled healthcare reformation.

Meanwhile, the corruption and backdoor deals continue.

First we learned how the Obama administration had garnered the $80 billion support from "Big Pharma" for a promise to NOT lower the Medicare prescription fee schedule. So, the drug companies will provide support because their profit margins are guaranteed.

Then we learned that half a trillion, yes $500 billion, will be cut from Medicare, most specifically, targeting the secondary insurance Medicare Advantage. Was it a surprise to hear AARP supporting the bill that will reduce benefits for their own membership? No surprises here as Medigap is AARP's version of Medicare Advantage so AARP's profits and interests will be protected.

The Max Baucus bill became under attack while denying the taxation and penalties drive the cost savings. The Baucus bill became high profile because it cost LESS than the $1 trillion price tag bouncing around. Soon we learned that the taxes and penalties would take effect IMMEDIATELY while the plan would not start until 2013.

Seven years of coverage on ten years of funds - of course it would be less!

Over the weekend further examination revealed that four states (Rhode Island, Oregon, Michigan and Nevada) have some special benefits carved out for their state budgets. There is a five year umbrella protecting those states from increased costs to their Medicaid programs.

Harry Reid's own state, Nevada, headlines the states that get a free pass on the backs of the other 46 states.

Furthermore, Chuck Shumer added language to protect New York's "Cadillac plans" from rate hikes as well. The current bill taxes these expensive plans to fund the healthcare reform's expanded coverages.

So the ABC's of Healthcare has resulted in the same ole CDE's: corruption, deceit and earmarks.

Earmarks? Yeah, didn't I mention any of those.

Let's continue with Harry Reid who wants to ensure that the Nevada Cancer Institute, a cancer treatment center with no particular national reputation, reaps "a big gain in federal reimbursements as part of the health-care overhaul."

Blanche Lincoln, considered a swing vote in the Senate, proposes Medicare coverages for home infused therapy "championed by a medical entrepreneur in her state."

Read the above comments in its entirety here from the NY TIMES!!!

Hope and Change hasn't reached the Senate. Evidently as the same ole players are pilfering through our money - this time in healthcare reform.

Joshua DuBois: Faith Based a& Community Czar

Back in February President Obama continued, really rebranded, the Office of Faith Based Initiatives which was created under President Bush to "Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives" (Executive Order 13199) Joshua DuBois, a 27-year-old Pentacostal Minister was designated to lead the Office.

I wasn't really aware of the activities of the office other than the Supreme Court decision in 2007. The court vote to protect the Executive Order from separation of church and state lawsuits. Judges John Roberts and Samuel Alito, Bush appointees, sided with the majority in a 5-4 victory, declaring "status of taxpayer" was NOT sufficient to challenge the executive order.

What's interesting is that President Obama added a new component: a 25 member board. Some members include:

–Rabbi David Saperstein, head of the DC Religious Action Center of Reform Judiasm
–Judith Vredenburgh, CEO of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America
–Bishop Vashti McKenzie, first female Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church
–The Rev. Joel Hunter, the senior pastor of Northland church in Orlando, Florida
–The Rev. Frank Page, the conservative past president of the Southern Baptist Convention

I'm surprised by the LACK of outrage surrounding the appointment of DuBois, who is credited with securing Rick Warren for the President's inauguration, texts the President Bible verses daily and is a Pentacostal minister. This is an entire piece by CBN's David Brody

This piece is over an hour long:

http://speakingoffaith.publicradio.org/programs/2009/obama-dubois/video-dubois.shtml#slideshow

In contrast with the other extremists that have found their way into the Obama administration, Mr. DuBois seems to be a genuine Christian with passions to bring different faiths together. He's been an advocate to reduce abortions and seems to have a healthy grasp on religion in our communities.

"In every church on Sunday in the African-American community we have this moral fervor; we have energy to burn. But as soon as church lets out, the energy dissipates. We must find ways to channel all this energy into community building. The biggest failure of the Civil Rights Movement was in failing to translate this energy, this moral fervor, into creating lasting institutions and organizational structures." -- Barack Obama, Chicago Reader 1995.

DuBois is a strike contrast from Rev. Wright and the anti-Christian comments from Kevin Jennings. Most of the attention around the controversial Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, begun by President George W. Bush and continued by President Obama, has centered on church-state separation issues.

I personally would abolish the department, the czar position, as I don't see this as a role for the Federal government. Unfortunately, it's here and I will strive to understand the board and its members to calculate their role in the Obama agenda.

The Great Parenting War: Astro Boy & How Socialism is Cool!

Last month I was motivated by the struggles of other parents in my Bible study class. It was most shocking to hear about the Teen video game "Sims 3" allowing sexual role playing, up to and including homosexual relationships. I wrote this post:

After mulling over a couple of other ideas, tons of feedback from friends and co-workers, this was sent to me by Dave at work.1

"Astro Boy" is a film based on the Osamu Tezuka 1950's character that has a huge Manga following with the explosion of Japanese Anime. The story is about a scientist that creates the robot in the image of his son who has passed away.

In the film version "Astro" leaves his creator when he discovers he's not real. That's where the controversy kicks into high gear and this article appears to be spot on. 1

Astro finds support with a group outcast revolutionaries scheming to overthrow the ruling powers and bring equality and a classless society to mankind. This group, called The Robot Revolutionary Front, led by Robotsky, chant "Viva La Robotolution" and stencil their logo on walls.

There is no disguising the parallels to Trotsky and Lenin's Russia.

Made in Communist China, it shouldn't surprise us.

I've witnessed an interesting and disturbing transformation whereby the new "cool" is socialism. Many of the Obama supporters dismissed the associations and comparisons as "crazy" or "right-wing propaganda", but NOW embrace the label.

See, if Obama is the new cool and he's a socialist, then socialism must be cool.

Glenn Beck broke the Anita Dunn (White House Communications Director) story in which she's talking in front of graduation class praising the Chinese murderous dictator Mao Tse Tung.

She starts speaking about 27 seconds into the video:

See, Director Dunn has the opportunity to teach a lesson on BAD choices comparing the benevolent Mother Teresa to the Chinese leader who murdered millions to gain and keep power.

It's important to glorify the communists.

I don't know how much symbolism is in "Astro Boy" but I know that leaders in this administration (and those in Hollywood) condone the actions by brutal communist nations.

Now atleast you know it's there. As parents we have to be diligent to educate our children not just to information, new things, but to the WRONG information.

Augie Nieto tribute - Thanks Five for Fighting

The lyrics were so moving and reminded me of a hero that I hadn't thought about in way too long. I first heard (i.e. read) about Augie in a Parade magazine.

"It's not the breaths you take...It's how to breathe"

Augie Nieto was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)in 2005 and responded by teaming with the MDA and created Augie's Quest, which has since raised over $15 million to fight ALS.

From the Quest website:
"Augie and his wife, Lynne, live in Corona Del Mar, California. They have four children: Nicole, Danielle, Austin and Lindsay. He is a 1980 graduate in economics from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.

He says, “My first priority is to spend time with my family. What I learned later in my career is that it is not the quantity but the quality of time you spend that matters.”

Augie was co-founder and former president of Life Fitness and is now chairman of Octane Fitness. In September 2005, he received the fitness industry’s top honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lynne is a 1980 graduate in accounting from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She worked for more than 20 years in her family’s business. She retired in 2000, and both Lynne and Augie enjoy spending time together and traveling with their children."1

What lessons we can learn.

One day you discover that you are strickened with a deabilitating disease, what would you do? How would you handle it?

I pray for strength and guidance daily. Augie's testimony motivates me, reminding me to be grateful for the little things. This tear jerker of a song rings of the happiness we should all have.

Augie's found what i've been looking for!!!

Complete lyrics for "Augie Nieto" by Five for Fighting2

Augie nieto's got a story to tell you
Though it's hard to hear him speak
He caught lou gehrig rounding third one day
Now he's happy as he'll ever be

He's running through the night
He'll die before he sleeps
Augie's found what i've been looking for

Augie nieto can tell you he loves you
He's two wheels close to god
His captain lynn sailing by his side
He'll never leave you lost

Though his arms can't squeeze you tight
He'll hold you when you sleep
Augie's found what i've been looking for

Hey yeah hey yeah
Take it any way it goes
Hey yeah hey yeah
Open up your never mind
Open up your mind

Augie nieto has never been happier
You got to see to believe
He caught lou gehrig rounding third one day
Now he's carrying the whole team

It's not the breaths you take
It's how to breathe
Augie's found what i've been looking for

Augie's found what i've been looking for

Nancy Pelosi is INSANE!

AP Headline: "Pelosi makes case for government-run health option"

Nancy Pelosi is tellnig, no warning, us all that the public option is coming. My response was: "Of course it is." How do you argue the need to eliminate the uninsured without some sort of new entitlement insurance program.

What makes my brain swell is Pelosi's rationale!

"Anyone who had any doubts about the need for such an option need only look at the behavior of the health insurance industry this week. The idea that we would have health insurance reform without a public option becomes less likely."

The behavior of the insurance industry?

Before we get to the AP translation of Pelosi speak, let me say that the insurance companies turned on healthcare reform when they found out the details. See, under the Senate Bill you have to pay a nominal fee if you don't have insurance. This originally was upwards of $8,000 but now appears to peak at $750 in 2017.

So young and healthy individuals would be better served to pay the fee and only get insurance when they needed it. Therefore, the insurance companies would NOT be getting premiums from these individuals over their healthy years.

The AP translates Nancyisms for us: (from the article) "She was referring to an industry-funded study earlier that said insurance premiums would rise under health overhaul legislation advanced by the Senate Finance Committee earlier this week. Pelosi also referenced an insurance industry ad campaign targeted at seniors."

Hey, Nancy the PREMIUMS WILL INCREASE! Seniors will lose billions and billions!

Maybe the insurance companies don't like statements like this: "There are some things we'd like to see happen to the insurance companies that they might not like."

So Pelosi made a case - from the headline, a case for what? How retarded the leaders on Capitol Hill have become?

The Senate Finance Committee wrote the language, the tax provisions etc...that WILL cause prices to rise and seniors to lose benefits and PELOSI'S insight is we need a public option and blame the insurance industry.

In July Pelosi said this:

"It's almost immoral what they (insurance companies - my addition) are doing. Of course they've been immoral all along in how they have treated the people that they insure. They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening."

Maybe "Big Insurance" will wake up and realize that the intent here is to...

PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!

I see it. You see it. Why can't they?

Their Own Words: Kevin Jennings

Yesterday I sorted through some of the controversy surrounding the "Safe School Czar" Kevin Jennings1. FOX and other talking heads have now connected the dots and are railing against his comments supporting gay activist Henry Hay and lack of reporting underage gay sex. I personally feel his agenda of teaching gay tolerance as early as kindergarten should face much more scrutiny and controversy.

We can look to the Progressive playground in California to review and understand their agenda, goals and what this government intends for the nation. From the DVD "It's Elementary: Talking about Gay Issues in Schools"2, to the Pro-Gay pledges 3, Gay Day, Coming Out Day -- even a mandatory gay tolerance program in Alomeda California: all of this is underway or old news.

Last month I posted the quotes and exerts from interviews with Cass Sunstein 4, one of the czars under attack, so it's only fitting to allow Mr. Jennings to speak for himself - in his own words.

“It’s not about how you feel about gay people, it’s about making sure all of our students achieve.” - NEA interview5

You may read or hear how Jennings is hostile towards religion based on these comments from his memoir:

"God…had done nothing but cause me pain and anguish through His inaction and malevolence throughout my childhood. … What had he done for me, other than make me feel shame and guilt? Squat. Screw you, buddy — I don’t need you around anymore, I decided."
(Discussing his feelings as a gay teen, frustrated with God)

Stop there, most would agree, but he went on a few sentances later: “Decades passed before I opened a Bible again" and Jennings goes into serving as a board member on the Union Theological Seminary in New York.

But he's no role model:

"I got stoned more often and went out to the beach at Bellows, overlooking Honolulu Harbor and the lights of the city, to drink with my buddies on Friday and Saturday nights, spending hours watching the planes take off and land at the airport, which is actually quite fascinating when you are drunk and stoned." - 2007 autobiography, page 103, "Mama's Boy, Preacher's Son: A Memoir", discussing his high school years in Hawaii in the early 1980s.

Great role model for our school kids.

March 20, 2000 in a speech to Marble Collegiate Church (New York):

"Twenty percent of people are hard-core fair-minded [pro-homosexual] people. Twenty percent are hard-core [anti-homosexual] bigots. We need to ignore the hard-core bigots, get more of the hard-core fair-minded people to speak up, and we'll pull that 60 percent [of people in the middle] … over to our side. That's really what I think our strategy has to be. We have to quit being afraid of the religious right. We also have to quit — … I'm trying to find a way to say this. I'm trying not to say, '[F---] 'em!' which is what I want to say, because I don't care what they think! [audience laughter] Drop dead!"

Days later...

Massachusetts Departments of Health and Education led a youth workshop titled "What They Didn't Tell You about Queer Sex & Sexuality in Health Class" - it was in 2000 and hence been dubbed "Fistgate" and is NOT for the meek.

PLEASE BE WARNED THAT THIS IS RATHER INTENSE, GROSS DESCRIPTION

Children as young as 12 (it was promoted to be for ages 14 to 21) were instructed by adults (Massachusetts State employees or members of Jennings' group GLSEN) how to perform a range of dangerous and perverted homosexual sex acts.

One of those State Officials: "Fisting [forcing one's entire hand into another person's rectum or vagina] often gets a bad rap....[It's] an experience of letting somebody into your body that you want to be that close and intimate with...[and] to put you into an exploratory mode."

So, the founder of this organization GLSEN praised a gay activist Harry Hay, a communist and NAMBLA supporter. He has pushed the pro-homosexual agenda with their own brand of bigotry and hatred. I'm going to credit him that he's admitted to error in judgment by NOT reported the homosexual underage sex, but I'm not convinced that he'd changed.

Endorsing a book and supporting a movement as controversial as mandatory gay tolerance in public schools, as early as kindergarten, is NOT mainstream. Safe schools for homosexuality is NOT the mainstream interpretation of safety in schools. The czars are outside of the scrutiny of fellow cabinet members.

We need to be honest here and admit that we, as a society, have been passive and lazy, and NOW realize that the czars need to go. Fire them, defund them and prohibit this circumvention of the constitution by calling and writing our representatives.

Kevin Jennings: The next czar to go?

There's buzz surrounding the latest targeted czar by mass emails and talking heads: Kevin Jennings, Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools (at the Dept. of Education): the Safe-School Czar.

Before I dive into the career of Kevin Jennings, let me point out the incredible hypocrisy of conservatives and Republicans (especially those talking heads) who have ignored the "czar program" that has grown from Nixon, to Reagan, Clinton and through both Bush Presidencies -- all with minimal outrage. Read this post on "Insight" to expand on this point:

So NOW, when Obama pushes that total to over 35, the conservatives want to start speaking out. The Van Jones controversy stoked the ratings fire at FOX, so they're primed to pounce.

At the root of most emails railing on Kevin Jennings (and the segments on Sean Hannity et al.) begin with Jennings, a homosexual, who recounts a story of a young teenage boy (age 15 or 16) who confided in him about having sex with an adult male. Rather than reporting an incident of statutory rape, Jennings merely counseled him to "use a condom" in his next sexual encounter with the man.

Jennings has said: "Twenty one years later I can see how I should have handled this situation differently. I should have asked for more information and consulted legal or medical authorities. Teachers back then had little training or guidance about this kind of thing. All teachers should have a basic level of preparedness. I would like to see the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools play a bigger role in helping to prepare teachers.”

Breitbart's Scott Baker narrates this video which covers Harry Hay, Jennings and more:

http://www.breitbart.tv/obama-czars-textbook-points-teens-to-pro-nambla-incident/

So I'm going to verge away from the great NAMBLA and Harry Hay debate exploring into an arena NOT covered as well, but to me is more telling. Kevin Jennings wrote the foreward for "Queering of Elementary Education"

I feel this book and Jennings creating, promoting it real reveals his character and truth of how he views a very controversial issue: teaching homosexual tolerance in school, as early as kindergarten.

From his foreword1:

"Nowhere is this failure (a lack of tolerance leading to violence and hatred - my addition) more evident than when it comes to antigay prejudice, and nowhere is that particular failure more manifest than it is in our elementary schools."

He equates how kids spout "That's so gay" and the perception of "gay is something bad" to the precursor that leads to violent gay bashing (his example is the Matthew Shepard case)

"...anyone who is driven to kill is atypical. But the hatred and attitudes they express are not the exception - they are the rule" and he later states how the "antigay bigotry is already in our schools."

The book begins with a chapter called "Teaching Queerly" which taunts how educators "mold children into curriculum cookie-cutter identities" and socialized into this "make-believe world of " male/female, hetero-homosexual, man/woman, masculine/feminine -- everything is relative.

Make-believe world - whoa.

This is the most destructive element of this movement. Many Progressives want to preach tolerance and pretend how men and women are NOT different and create relativism to everything "sexual" - -anything goes, everything is okay.

See, as it's stated in this book, "Father Knows Best" only can exist on TV, because "normal" families are the exception. In Mr. Jennings' universe, we must make exceptions to include everyone, every dynamic, without analyzing the destructive nature of the behavior. We all should lower the standards for the "family" and accept every possible pervasive identity: the gayby Boom, in vitro fertilization, single and second parent adoption.

I feel we deal with the problems. The deep, dirty, difficult problems that are laid at our feet are presented as a challenge for growth and NOT a reason to result in indoctrination of Elementary school kids.

"Queering" expounds on teachers, NOT parents, should explore what kids think "gay", "lesbian" or "homosexual" means. They explain sex is already in schools and most kids don't have "one mommy and one daddy" so it's okay to explore more diverse family dynamics.

There's no enough Tylenol to get me through all of this book. Let's press on...

Then again, and I quote:

"The affirmation of gay and lesbian people in elementary curricula is roughly analogous to respecting the rights of religious minorities."

They cite a Canadian legal case that was successful in making this comparison and staying away from parallels to race or ethnicity. If you can handle the chapter on "Sexuality in the Elementary Curriculum" page 181 you already more tolerant than me.

I'll ask one question: how can elementary and middle school kids have a clue if they are gay or not?

The clincher: the back of the book, a cameo endorsement by Bill Ayers

"Queering Elementary Education is an important contribution to nourishing the ethical heart of teaching, reminding us how anemic and cold and partial our embrace of our students has too often been. For some readers this collection will be an affirmation, for others a surprise and challenge. But it is a book for all teachers and parents, indeed for anyone concerned with the healthy development of children and schools. And, yes, it has an agenda: it stands straight and strong for fairness, for respect, for humanity, for simple decency."

The AFA, American Family Association, has jumped into the campaign against Kevin Jennings but I want to challenge you: support ending the czars.

ALL OF THEM!

If there was a Congressional confirmation process NABLA, Harry Hay and "Queerly" would have come out - yeah, maybe.

You can argue that this is a breach of the Constitutional power - well, yes, but where were you over the last 35 years?

Our fight is deep and dirty and difficult.

Behind the Peace Prize: Socialists?

Maybe you were shocked by the announcement of President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Maybe you think this was inspiring and well deserved. I personally don't get and wanted to delve into the process a bit.

The Nobel Peace Prize nomination was February 1, 2009, and Barack Obama assumed office on January 20, 2009 -- 11 days max. At that point, he had no foreign affairs policy or experience.

So was the fix in?

My son and I were discussing how many Americans think we, the USA, pick the winners of these awards? I didn't know how the nomination process really works and who made the final decisions, but I've found out.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee is composed of five individuals1, mostly politicians. (Yes, shocking isn't it?) Verifiable even with Wikipedia:

"
The committee might receive well more than a hundred nominations and asks the Nobel Institute in February every year to research about twenty candidates."

Now let's look at the committee:

Thorbjorn Jagland

When you check the Jagland resume, you'll find that he was the prime minister of Norway, and that he was the leader of the Norwegian Labor Party for 10years.

Dig alittle deaper a this is also what you may find.

From 1999 through 2008, Jagland was Vice President of Socialist International. What’s that? It’s exactly what the name suggests – an international organization of socialist groups who advocate for far leftist, socialist policies. It also boasts of “consultative status” with the United Nations.

Socialist International: Progressive Politics for a Fairer World (from their website) also rejects the notion of “armed peace” between superpowers, and wants Europe to play a lead role in basically disarming everyone. See below for the 10-Point Plan for Disarmament.2 and there are ties to the Democratic Socialists of America.

Kaci Kullmann Five

After leaving Norwegian parliament in 1997, Kullmann has been a Managing Director at Aker RGI since 2002 and is a member of the Board of Directors in Statoil, Norway's largest oil company.

Statoil had been tied to corruption securing lucrative oil contracts with Iran and in August of 2008 did they sever these relationships. Pressure from the US and EU came as there was suspicion Iran was developing a nuclear program - imagine that 3

She's not been connected to any other organization that raised any red flags from what I've read.

Inger-Marie Ytterhorn

This is her resume: Senior political adviser to the parliamentary group of the right-wing populist Progress Party. Lawmaker from 1989-93. Member of the prize committee since 2000. The Progress Party wants to define itself as a "libertarian party" and has been expanding since 2005.

She told AP the prize could be seen as praising Obama's reversal of Bush administration policies: "I guess you could read it like that."4

Aagot Valle

She was lawmaker for the Socialist Left party. Joined the peace prize committee in 2009.

Expects Bush supporters to criticize decision to award Obama: "Those who were in support of Bush in his belief in war solving problems, on rearmament, and that nuclear weapons play an important role ... probably won't be happy."4

Sissel Marie Roenbeck

Labor Party lawmaker until 1993. Has held Cabinet posts as minister for administration and consumer affairs, environment and transport and communications. Member of the prize committee since 1994.

Mr. Jagland pointed to the 1971 prize to West German Chancellor Willy Brandt and the 1990 prize to Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev as two examples of the honor predating true achievement.

"One can say that Barack Obama is trying to change the world, just as those two personalities changed Europe," Mr. Jagland said. "We have to get the world on the right track again."

Ms. Valle, said she hoped the selection would be viewed as "support and a commitment for Obama."

"And I hope it will be an inspiration for all those that work with nuclear disarmament and disarmament," she said.5

Sounds like an agenda to me. Pre-emptive support, especially for disarmament and support from the European Socialists -- because the European socialists detest the idea of the United States as the world’s pre-eminent power.

Like the EU, we should give over international decision-making authority to groups like these to further the goal of a world in which socialist despots have just as much say in the affairs of the world as free, democratic nations.

We can see the agenda of the people who chose Obama for the Nobel Peace Prize, not to mention the fact that, for whatever reason, they see tremendous hope in him and in what they expect him to do.

The Norwegian Parliament chooses the winners of the Nobel Peace Prize as a political tool to influence American politics. Its prestige and moral power make the prize a potent weapon with which to help steer the direction of the colossus beyond the seas that controls a quarter of the world's economy and most of its military power.

Now, the Norwegians have weighed in to support Barack Obama in his bid to reshape America so it looks more like, well, Norway, or at least like Europe.

Dick Morris wrote that "European socialism cannot succeed without conquering the United States. If the European Union has high taxes and the US keeps its levies low, business and brains will flow to America. If the EU's labor standards require long vacations, high benefits, and proscribe layoffs and ours' do not, employers will migrate across the ocean to do their business in the States. If the Old World curbs ambition by taxation, regulation, and social opprobrium, the ambitious will flock to the New World as they have done for four hundred years.

So, Lenin was right. Socialism cannot exist in just one country - or one continent. It must dominate worldwide or wealth and power will flow to those who remain committed to the free market. Europe realizes this reality and it makes Obama's election as president of the United States all
the more welcome."

So let's reward it.

In Socialism good intentions outweigh results everytime.

Stimulus chaos yields a revealing sadness

Chaos in Cobo - the doors opened at the Cobo Center in Detroit as the Obama homeless prevention plan rolled out to hopeful citizens, all clamoring to get a piece of the $15.2 pie. Pushing, shoving and long lines of folks clinging to the hope of a "free" check from President Obama....yes, to them, it's free.

WJAR's Ken Rogulski get a telling interview with a woman in line:

ROGULSKI: Did you get an application to fill out yet?
WOMAN: I sure did. And I filled it out, and I am waiting to see what the results are going to be.
ROGULSKI: Will you know today how much money you're getting?
WOMAN: No, I won't, but I'm waiting for a phone call.
ROGULSKI: Where's the money coming from?
WOMAN: I believe it's coming from the City of Detroit or the state.
ROGULSKI: Where did they get it from?
WOMAN: Some funds that was forgiven by Obama.
ROGULSKI: And where did Obama get the funds?
WOMAN: Obama getting the funds from... Ummm, I have no idea, to tell you the truth. He's the president.

ROGULSKI: In downtown Detroit, Ken Rogulski, WJR News.

Local officials claim that only about 3,500 people will qualify for funds from the 60,000 applications.

It's sad really - the money came from Obama like it fell from the sky.

Russ Limbaugh has run the story as well (see below) and this link has the interview from the campaign trail of the lady who felt Obama was going to take of her mortgage, put gas in her car.

CNN scrutinzes Obama SNL Skit for accuracy?

The news isn't, or shouldn't be, that the President was spoofed on Saturday Night Live, but to CNN's Wolf Blitzer, the news is a "Fact check" of their accuracy as SNL portrays the President as a "do nothing President", not living up to campaign promises.

The skit portray President Obama as a man who made a lot of promises but hasn't fulfill many, if any, of campaign pledges: including closing Gitmo, combating global warming, allowing openly gay people to serve in the military, withdrawing from Iraq, improving the status of the fight in Afghanistan, reforming health care and several others.

CNN Analysis:

KAREEN WYNTER, ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT: While some observers say, sure, we are just talking comedy here, but that on many points, "SNL" couldn't have been more off the mark.

Ed Rollins of CNN wrote: "Humor with some truth in it is always dangerous. Make no mistake, a drumbeat of belittlement can damage a president."

President Gerald Ford, a gifted athlete, could never overcome the image of a bumbling, clumsy man who banged his head constantly after the hilarious portrayal of him by Chevy Chase. The senior Bush, George H.W., was brilliantly played by Dana Carvey, and more viewers remember our 41st president as the goofy, inarticulate caricature than as a serious man who served his country in many positions.

The CNN Fack Check goes on and on, bringing in Bill Adair editor of PolitiFact.com, introduced by Wynter as "a non-partisan fact-checking website that rates the statements of elected officials" -- this is while they are FACT CHECKING a SNL SKIT!

ADAIR: I think SNL tended to kind of gloss over what is a- a fair amount of progress by this administration- about sending two additional brigades to Afghanistan. We rated that had a promise kept. On Iraq, Saturday Night Live said not done and, of course, that’s true- they’re not done, but they hadn’t promised to be done by now.

Later he adds:

ADAIR: This is not a fair portrayal of- of how Obama’s done. But it’s comedy- it doesn’t have to be fair.

BUT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT IT ON CNN!

What we really learned is that the liberals at CNN felt it necessary to scrutinize how the President is being portrayed on a comedy show. Pathetic.

Taxing Healthcare Benefits - It's coming

It's exhausting to continue the fight against the government takeover of healthcare. No matter what speech, sound bites or quote you hear, the one thing that is clear: the government, White House and Congress, intend on pushing a socialized universal health insurance program into our lives.

The current bill confirmed many of the rumors about taxation and penalties (I covered them here: http://brandon7221.blogspot.com/2009/10/cram-ram-healthcare.html )

No the evolution of the healthcare reform digs deeper and sharper.

Under the original proposal, a 35% excise tax would be imposed on employer-provided coverage in which premiums exceed $8,000 a year for individual coverage and $21,000 for family coverage. This would include premiums for medical, dental and vision care; employer contributions to health reimbursement arrangements and health savings accounts; and employee contributions.

Tax us for having good insurance.

Oh wait, it gets worse!

Under the revised Baucus package, the excise tax is modified in several ways. First, the tax would be increased to 40%. In addition, the $8,000 and $21,000 thresholds would be increased by $750 for individual coverage and $2,000 for family coverage for retirees covered in employer plans who are age 55 and older.

NOW they will tax the employer NOT you or me!

How long will we have employer health insurance?

Well there's this amendment, proposed by Sen. John Kerry, requiring employers with 26 or more employees to offer health care coverage, pay at least 60% of the premiums for individual and family coverage, and abide by certain other requirements. Those that fail to do so would be assessed an annual fine of $750 for each full-time employee not covered and $375 for each part-time employee not covered.

Is your head spinning yet? It should be.

I'm sick of hearing and writing about healthcare, but we are under siege. We are being forced onto a government plan, going to lose our benefits at work, or worse, much much worse, watch small businesses go bankrupt trying to keep pace.

Trapped at the Bank: America is Soddom & Gommorah

Don't you hate when you HAVE to go inside the bank to execute a transaction?

I was trapped in a snail race for twenty minutes snaking my way through the bank maze to get to the front. To add salt in the wound, I was subject to the CNN version of TMZ: HLN's Showbiz Tonight -- this was the only distraction from the Hispanic lady's raucous conversation on her cell phone.

My entire time was spent trying to erase the series of images set forth by my minimal knowledge of Spanish as I translated "tener sexo con Jose" - oh, where's the mental floss when you need it?

Okay, back to Showbiz Tonight, which was providing the trifecta of immorality: David Letterman, Roman Polanski and Jon Gosselin. There was no escaping the endless stream of analysis into the lack of morality - oh I'm sorry, that was in my head - the justification of Polanski and Letterman's behaviors while perpetuating the exploitation of the Jon & Kate fiasco.

I've already been exposed to the "rape-rape" comments of Whoopi Goldberg. I've watched Letterman interweave his cheating escapades with his blackmail confessions to get laughs.

Society has truly become a modern day Soddom and Gommorah. Outrageous sexual immorality and even rape is easily absorbed into the broadmindedness and tolerance of the media and Hollywood liberals. The biggest star on the view dismisses Roman Polanski's crimes because it wasn't really "rape-rape" and Letterman is glorified as "The Man" instead of being vilified as a cheater (possibly a womanizer)

Like the Biblical account, the wealthy cities of sin were engulfed in these same sexual immoral practices and tolerance. Let's add some Reality TV child exploitation and a Hollywood rapist and we are certainly looking into a proverbial mirror ripe for persecution.

It's sad when banking requires a prayer for strength to endure the world that surrounds us.

East West Centre

  • This is where Barack Hussein Sr and (Stanley) Ann Dunham may have met, Obama describes them meeting in a Russian language class at UH and married in February, 1961.
  • Described as "leftist" group - one defender says that's exaggerated but describes the members of EWC as: "many of which had been left-of-center or at least partial to "development" thinking where government has a crucial role in a nation's economic, educational, and social growth"

  • In Defense of ACORN (re: videos): “This form of modern-day ACORN McCarthyism has got to stop. I’m Bertha Lewis and some of you may know me as the biggest threat to democracy in America and most recently, some of you may know me as the head of an international brothel network”
  • Lewis attacks O'Keefe: "These new filmmakers, O'Keefe himself, told The Washington Post, 'They're registering too many minorities; they usually vote Democratic; somebody's got to stop them,'" -- The WashTimes fails to include any quotes, any evidence, any anything, to support the "racist" angle.
  • Describing ACORN: "I believe in what I call 'bureaucrats for social justice. It doesn't seem glamorous like other community organizing, but when you organize poor people, they deserve just as much professionalism, the best employees, the best staff, as any other group."
