MSNBC taunts victory over CNN while they lose to Greta, Shep and others

CNN can't see their bias and ideology as they try to pretend they are different than FOX or MSNBC. For the first time, CNN will finish in 4th place in prime time cable ratings(8-11pm), so let the cries begin.

The real story is MSNBC stomping on their grave like they accomplished something.

GE's propaganda machine is no different than Murdoch's presenting talking head after talking head. The difference is there are three network fighting for bottom. Who will win Nancy Grace or Keith Olbermann?

I really don't care that O'Reilly is still #1 or Beck is second. Olbermann and Grace are fighting to be #1 amongst the other three networks (CNN, MSNBC and HLN) because they would still finish behind ALL of the FOX shows.

Sample from Thur Dec. 17

5p: 6p: 7p: 8p: 9p: 10p: 11p:
FNC Beck: Baier: Shep: O'Rlly: Hann: Greta: O'Reilly:
520 356 378 762 581 487 435

CNN Blitz: Blitz: Toght: Brown: King: Cooper: Special:
158 132 112 139 168 134 80

MSNBC Mthws: EdShow: Mthews: Olbrmn: Maddow: Olbrmnn: Maddow:
93 108 154 337 294 254 140

HLN Prime: Prime: Issues: Grace: Behar: Grace: Showbiz:
92 106 144 250 188 184 153

There were a couple of days where Grace beats Olbermann or Maddow ranks in there, but they are competing for 8th place.

I'm sure all of the leftists will tell us how all the FOX watchers are brainwashed, Obama haters waving their tea bags blah blah blah...

CNN's #1 show, Larry King, is losing to the chick from the View!

Anderson Cooper, probably the most digestible show on CNN is last, losing to a Nancy Grace replay!

By the way, those FOX ratings are the best in their history. Compared that 2.2 million Prime Time viewers to the big three networks that they would still be last. While the networks' numbers are falling, they still have over 5 million viewers each, peaking 7-9 million.

My opinion, viewers know there's a bias, on FOX and on the other channels. They need to stop pretending they are objective or trying to slam FOX as right wing. FOX's slant is NOT why people watch - it's because they will analyze and report on stories that the other networks are ignoring.

The sad and terrifying truth is that on occasion those nutty talking heads on FOX make some sense and ask some interesting questions. Biased? YES. Wrong? Maybe, but ignoring the questions and points doesn't prove them wrong.

Lending down but the Economy is Healing?

Anyone remember how TARP was intended to free up cash and enable banks to lend money to prevent the economy from freezing?

The FDIC reports that lending by U.S. banks plunged by 2.8 percent in the third quarter, the largest drop since at least 1984 and the fifth consecutive quarter in which banks have reduced lending.

"We need to see banks making more loans to their business customers," FDIC Chairman Sheila C. Bair said Tuesday.

Same old problems...same old language.

CNN Headline Aug 2009: Geithner: Economy healing, but deficit must go down

Dec 3, 2009

Geithner: "The economy is healing," Geithner said. But he added: "We suffered this enormous trauma."

This was the fifth quarter in a row with reduced lending and the worst report since the data was tracked in 1984.

If this is healing, then we need a little dose of pain.

CNN scrutinzes Obama SNL Skit for accuracy?

The news isn't, or shouldn't be, that the President was spoofed on Saturday Night Live, but to CNN's Wolf Blitzer, the news is a "Fact check" of their accuracy as SNL portrays the President as a "do nothing President", not living up to campaign promises.

The skit portray President Obama as a man who made a lot of promises but hasn't fulfill many, if any, of campaign pledges: including closing Gitmo, combating global warming, allowing openly gay people to serve in the military, withdrawing from Iraq, improving the status of the fight in Afghanistan, reforming health care and several others.

CNN Analysis:

KAREEN WYNTER, ENTERTAINMENT CORRESPONDENT: While some observers say, sure, we are just talking comedy here, but that on many points, "SNL" couldn't have been more off the mark.

Ed Rollins of CNN wrote: "Humor with some truth in it is always dangerous. Make no mistake, a drumbeat of belittlement can damage a president."

President Gerald Ford, a gifted athlete, could never overcome the image of a bumbling, clumsy man who banged his head constantly after the hilarious portrayal of him by Chevy Chase. The senior Bush, George H.W., was brilliantly played by Dana Carvey, and more viewers remember our 41st president as the goofy, inarticulate caricature than as a serious man who served his country in many positions.

The CNN Fack Check goes on and on, bringing in Bill Adair editor of PolitiFact.com, introduced by Wynter as "a non-partisan fact-checking website that rates the statements of elected officials" -- this is while they are FACT CHECKING a SNL SKIT!

ADAIR: I think SNL tended to kind of gloss over what is a- a fair amount of progress by this administration- about sending two additional brigades to Afghanistan. We rated that had a promise kept. On Iraq, Saturday Night Live said not done and, of course, that’s true- they’re not done, but they hadn’t promised to be done by now.

Later he adds:

ADAIR: This is not a fair portrayal of- of how Obama’s done. But it’s comedy- it doesn’t have to be fair.

BUT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT IT ON CNN!

What we really learned is that the liberals at CNN felt it necessary to scrutinize how the President is being portrayed on a comedy show. Pathetic.
