Michael Moore to Obama: Don't Do It or You'll be the "War President"

I'm going to praise Michael Moore for being a leader and convicted with his anti-war "letter" to the President which begins:

"Do you really want to be the new "war president"? If you go to West Point tomorrow night (Tuesday, 8pm) and announce that you are increasing, rather than withdrawing, the troops in Afghanistan, you are the new war president."

Many have wondered where all the war protests have gone. Where is "Code Pink" and Cindy Sheehan as the new President has perpetuated the war in the Middle East.

Moore's anti-war theme is loud and clear as he rails on McChrystal and sites the USSR failed invasion of Afghanistan.

"With our economic collapse still in full swing and our precious young men and women being sacrificed on the altar of arrogance and greed, the breakdown of this great civilization we call America will head, full throttle, into oblivion if you become the "war president." Empires never think the end is near, until the end is here. Empires think that more evil will force the heathens to toe the line -- and yet it never works. The heathens usually tear them to shreds."

I'm going to agree with Moore as I've said: We fight to win and come home. I just find Moore's bold criticisms of Obama revealing.

He calls out Obama's fragile corporate backing and the potential for a one-term presidency. No words usually heard fromt the loyal left.

Ron Paul tackles Michael Moore, healthcare

Thanks to Robert Herriman for sending me this: Ron Paul on Larry King answering to Michael Moore and his views.

Let's just say that this isn't a fair fight.



Health care is NOT a right!

Ron Paul was a doctor, so maybe we should listen to him on health care reform. He explains the free market solutions to fixing managed care and the "mischief" of government.

I Larry King's come back was "half socialism" which Paul refutes the government intervention and the track record of failure. The intervention and big government has ballooned over the last 30 years and Ron Paul is spot on.

Likewise, unlike Moore who is soft on Obama, Paul is critical of both.

I've grown to respect Ron Paul more and more as the most consistent Congressman. He's nicknamed "Dr. NO" for a reason.
