Stimulus chaos yields a revealing sadness

Chaos in Cobo - the doors opened at the Cobo Center in Detroit as the Obama homeless prevention plan rolled out to hopeful citizens, all clamoring to get a piece of the $15.2 pie. Pushing, shoving and long lines of folks clinging to the hope of a "free" check from President Obama....yes, to them, it's free.

WJAR's Ken Rogulski get a telling interview with a woman in line:

ROGULSKI: Did you get an application to fill out yet?
WOMAN: I sure did. And I filled it out, and I am waiting to see what the results are going to be.
ROGULSKI: Will you know today how much money you're getting?
WOMAN: No, I won't, but I'm waiting for a phone call.
ROGULSKI: Where's the money coming from?
WOMAN: I believe it's coming from the City of Detroit or the state.
ROGULSKI: Where did they get it from?
WOMAN: Some funds that was forgiven by Obama.
ROGULSKI: And where did Obama get the funds?
WOMAN: Obama getting the funds from... Ummm, I have no idea, to tell you the truth. He's the president.

ROGULSKI: In downtown Detroit, Ken Rogulski, WJR News.

Local officials claim that only about 3,500 people will qualify for funds from the 60,000 applications.

It's sad really - the money came from Obama like it fell from the sky.

Russ Limbaugh has run the story as well (see below) and this link has the interview from the campaign trail of the lady who felt Obama was going to take of her mortgage, put gas in her car.
